The Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA) basketball nipped the host Glidden-Ralston Wildcats (Glidden, IA), 42-36 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Tigers (5-13) will now prepare for their test against Interstate 35 (Truro, IA). The Roadrunners go into the West Central test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Interstate 35 was tipped by Des Moines Christian (Des Moines, IA), 51-15, in a league test.
The Wildcats now own a 4-16 record. They play next when they travel to Ar-We-Va for a Rolling Valley test on Friday, February 2. Glidden-Ralston will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 58-21 non-league loss to Logan-Magnolia (Logan, IA). The Rockets record now stands at 3-19.
