In Thursday's non-league match, the host Hackettstown Tigers basketball team scored a tight 42-38 triumph over the Vernon Vikings.
In their next game, the Tigers meet the Morris County Tech Devils (Denville, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - Freedom match, on Tuesday, February 6. Hackettstown will attempt to better on its 5-13 season record.
