The Hill City Rangers (Hill City, SD) basketball crushed the visiting Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD), 52-18 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Rangers (13-3) will now prepare for their test against Lakota Tech (Pine Ridge, SD). The Tatanka go into the non-league test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Lakota Tech walloped Todd County (Mission, SD), 64-41, in a league test.
The Irrigators now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Edgemont for a non-league test on Friday, February 2. Newell will encounter a Moguls squad coming off a 51-36 non-league win over Hemingford (Hemingford, NE). The Moguls record now stands at 8-7.
