The Sherman Tide (Seth, WV) basketball nipped the visiting Man Hillbillies (Man, WV), 40-36 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Tide (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV). The Big Blacks go into the non-league test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Point Pleasant was tipped by Hoover (Clendenin, WV), 42-30, in a non-league test.
The Hillbillies now own a 0-10 record. They play next when they host Independence for a non-league test on Saturday, February 3. Man will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 54-36 league win over Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 14-2.
