The Pine Island Panthers basketball team (Pine Island, MN), was overwhelmed 72-48 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Randolph Rockets (Randolph, MN)
The Rockets now possess a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blooming Prairie for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Randolph will battle a Awesome Blossoms team coming off a 65-15 league win over Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN). The Awesome Blossoms record now stands at 13-7.
The Panthers (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN). The Bulldogs enter the AA Section 1 contest with a 14-10 record. In their last contest, Plainview-Elgin-Millville triumphed over Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN), 62-33, in a league contest.
