The Badgers enter the game with a 12-6 record after their 51-38 non-league win over Ashland-Greenwood (Ashland, NE).

With the defeat, Sergeant Bluff-Luton moves to 2-14 on the year. The Warriors travel to Sioux City North (Sioux City, IA) to face the Stars in a Missouri River game on Friday, February 2. The Stars enter the game with a record of 4-13. Sioux City North lost 69-35 in their recent league game against Le Mars (Le Mars, IA)
