The Sherrard Tigers basketball team (Sherrard, IL), was nudged 47-43 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL)

The Flying Geese now possess a 22-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Princeville for a Lincoln Trail battle on Monday, February 5. Wethersfield will battle a Princes team coming off a 44-20 league win over Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL). The Princes record now stands at 16-11.

The Tigers (16-11) will now prepare for their battle against Riverdale (Port Byron, IL). The Rams come into the Three Rivers - West battle with a 20-5 record. In their last battle, Riverdale edged Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL), 39-29, in a league battle.
