Virginia High School Basketball - Deep Creek fells Currituck County

February 1, 2024: Chesapeake, VA 23323

Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 70-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Deep Creek upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Hornets host Indian River (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Indian River won 69-54 in their recent non-league bout against Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA)

Next up, the Knights play the Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) in a bout, on Friday, February 2. Currituck County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Redskins go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 41-26 non-league loss to First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC).
