Virginia High School Basketball - Bland County bests Jefferson Christian Academy

The Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) basketball toppled the visiting Jefferson Christian Academy Cardinals (Ripplemead, VA), 61-51 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bears now possess a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Giles for a Mountain Empire bout on Tuesday, February 4. Bland County will play a Spartans team coming off a 72-36 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 3-12.
With the loss, Jefferson Christian Academy falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Auburn Baptist Christian Academy (Riner, VA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, February 3. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Auburn Baptist Christian Academy won 60-36 in their recent non-league bout against Maranatha Christian Academy (Princeton, WV)
