The Panthers (1-16) will now prepare for their challenge against East (Sciotoville, OH). The Tartans come into the Southern Ohio I challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last challenge, East was tipped by Northwest (McDermott, OH), 67-24, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Rockets encounter the Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) in a Tri-Valley I challenge, on Monday, February 3. Wellston will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 76-33 non-league loss to Warren (Vincent, OH).
