In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Crestline Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 47-43 triumph over the Elgin Comets.

The Bulldogs (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against St. Peter's (Mansfield, OH). The Spartans go into the Mid-Buckeye contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, St. Peter's was tipped by Danville (Danville, OH), 78-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Benjamin Logan Raiders (Bellefontaine, OH) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Elgin will attempt to better on its 4-13 season record. The Raiders go into the contest with a 1-16 record after their 58-27 league loss to Shawnee (Springfield, OH).
