In Saturday's league contest, the visiting Ellendale Cardinals basketball team scored a close 33-31 win over the Strasburg/Zeeland Clippers.
The Cardinals (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier (Edgeley, ND). The Rangers come into the B District 2 contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier edged South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] (Wishek, ND), 57-22, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Clippers battle the Wakpala Sioux (Wakpala, SD) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Strasburg/Zeeland will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Sioux come into the contest with a 7-6 record after their 54-31 non-league win over Tiospaye Topa (Ridgeview, SD).
