In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Payne Tech Lions basketball team scored a big 85-43 triumph over the Glen Ridge Ridgers.
The Lions (13-5) will now prepare for their contest against Seton Hall Prep (West Orange, NJ). The Pirates go into the Super Essex - American contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, Seton Hall Prep smashed Orange (Orange, NJ), 79-48, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Ridgers confront the Newark Academy Minutemen (Livingston, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Glen Ridge will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record.
