Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA), 64-56 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Grafton upgrades its record to 8-8 on the year. The Clippers travel to New Kent (New Kent, VA) to face the Trojans in a Bay Rivers match on Wednesday, February 5. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 18-0. New Kent won 64-53 in their recent league match against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA)
The Wildcats now sport a 1-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Indian River for a Southeastern match on Tuesday, February 4. Great Bridge will face a Braves squad coming off a 69-59 non-league loss to Norview (Norfolk, VA). The Braves record now stands at 10-4.
