The Salem Academy Crusaders (Salem, OR) basketball edged the host Knappa Loggers (Astoria, OR), 44-43 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Crusaders now possess a 14-6 record. They play next when they host Delphian for a 2A Tri-River bout on Monday, February 3. Salem Academy will play a Dragons team coming off a 64-32 league loss to Santiam (Mill City, OR). The Dragons record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, Knappa falls to 23-4 on the campaign. The Loggers travel to Columbia Christian (Portland, OR) to play the Knights in a 2A Northwest bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 7-14. Columbia Christian lost 85-39 in their recent league bout against Portland Christian (Portland, OR)
