In Saturday's league test, the Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) basketball squad got by the visiting Morse Shipbuilders (Bath, ME), by a score of 49-47.
Next, the Hornets encounter the Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, February 4. Leavitt will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Black Raiders come into the test with a 11-7 record after their 73-30 non-league win over Waterville (Waterville, ME).
The Shipbuilders (4-13) will now prepare for their test against Mount View (Thorndike, ME). The Mustangs come into the non-league test with a 10-8 record.
