Maryland High School Basketball - Parkside holds off Sandy Spring Friends

The Parkside Eagles basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests to 60 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Eagles now have a 16-8 record. They play next when they travel to Fredericksburg Victory for a non-league game on Monday, February 3. Parkside will confront a Victory team coming off a 55-52 non-league loss to Christ Chapel Academy (Woodbridge, VA). The Victory record now stands at 7-12.
With the loss, Sandy Spring Friends falls to 13-21 on the campaign. The Wildebeests host St. Anselm's Abbey (Washington, DC) to confront the Panthers in a DCSAA A game on Tuesday, February 4. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 14-7. St. Anselm's Abbey won 44-42 in their recent league game against Model Secondary School for the Deaf (Washington, DC)
