In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Vermillion Tanagers basketball team scored a good 67-47 triumph over the Sturgis Brown Scoopers.
The Tanagers (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Beresford (Beresford, SD). The Watchdogs go into the A Region 4 contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Beresford was toppled by Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD), 55-50, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Scoopers confront the St. Thomas More Cavaliers (Rapid City, SD) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Sturgis Brown will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record. The Cavaliers go into the contest with a 12-4 record after their 43-41 non-league win over Spearfish (Spearfish, SD).
