The Abingdon Falcons basketball squad (Abingdon, VA), was nudged 53-46 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA)
With the victory, Fleming advances its record to 16-2 on the year. The Colonels host Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA) to meet the Cavaliers in a Blue Ridge battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a record of 17-2. Lord Botetourt won 52-34 in their recent league battle against Staunton River (Moneta, VA)
The Falcons now own a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ridgeview for a Mountain battle on Friday, February 7. Abingdon will meet a Wolfpack squad coming off a 51-45 league loss to Union (Big Stone Gap, VA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 9-4.
