The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI) and the host Mt. Pleasant Kilties (Providence, RI), observed Cumberland's basketball team knock off Mt. Pleasant by a score of 42-28.

The Clippers (5-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Coventry (Coventry, RI). The Oakers come into the Division II challenge with a 8-10 record. In their last challenge, Coventry dropped by St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI), 47-24, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Kilties battle the Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI) in a Division III challenge, on Monday, February 3. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 42-26 league win over Block Island (New Shoreham, RI).
