In Saturday's non-league test, the Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) basketball squad defeated the host Mason County Royals (Maysville, KY), by a score of 40-32.

Next, the Indians clash with the George Rogers Clark Cardinals (Winchester, KY) in a District 40 test, on Tuesday, February 4. Montgomery County will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 13-6 record after their 68-42 non-league loss to Sacred Heart (Louisville, KY).

The Royals (12-6) will now prepare for their test against West Union (West Union, OH). The Dragons come into the non-league test with a 10-9 record. In their last test, West Union overcame Blanchester (Blanchester, OH), 50-46, in a non-league test.
