The Pickett County Bobcats basketball team scored 73 points and limited the host South Pittsburg Pirates to 37 in the Bobcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bobcats now have a 16-3 record. They play next when they host Red Boiling Springs for a 1A District 7 game on Tuesday, February 4. Pickett County will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 39-35 league loss to Clarkrange (Clarkrange, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-13.

With the loss, South Pittsburg falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Pirates host Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN) to confront the Cougars in a non-league game on Saturday, February 8. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 10-8. Copper Basin won 59-39 in their recent non-league game against Whitwell (Whitwell, TN)
