The Southwest Christian Stars got by the visiting St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders basketball squad by a final score of 64-61 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Stars clash with the Hutchinson Tigers (Hutchinson, MN) in a non-league outing, on Friday, February 7. Southwest Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Tigers come into the outing with a 3-18 record after their 57-49 non-league loss to Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN).

The Crusaders (10-7) will now prepare for their outing against Maranatha Christian Academy (Brooklyn Park, MN). The Mustangs come into the AA Section 5 outing with a 10-4 record. In their last outing, Maranatha Christian Academy held off New Life Academy (Woodbury, MN), 83-36, in a non-league outing.
