The Mattawan Wildcats ice hockey team scored 4 points and held the host Big Rapids Cardinals to 2 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Saturday.
The Wildcats now own a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stevenson for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. Mattawan will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 6-19.
With the defeat, Big Rapids moves to 7-10 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI) to encounter the Trojans in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 5. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 9-11. Traverse City Central lost 5-4 in their recent non-league bout against Central (Bay City, MI)
