In Thursday's non-league match, the host Sparta Spartans basketball team scored a good 51-35 triumph over the New Providence Pioneers.
In their next game, the Spartans meet the Phillipsburg Stateliners (Phillipsburg, NJ) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 12. Sparta will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record. The Stateliners enter the match with a 8-9 record after their 53-46 non-league win over Montgomery (Skillman, NJ).
