The Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL) basketball nipped the host Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL), 55-48 in Friday's non-league test.
The Warriors (15-14) will now prepare for their test against Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Knights go into the Freelance test with a 13-15 record. In their last test, Mater Dei was tipped by Highland (Highland, IL), 49-36, in a non-league test.
The Crusaders now own a 8-21 record. They play next when they travel to Alton for a non-league test on Saturday, February 11. Althoff Catholic will encounter a Redbirds squad coming off a 65-45 league loss to Belleville West (Belleville, IL). The Redbirds record now stands at 5-22.
