Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Model Patriots (Richmond, KY) and the host Berea Pirates (Berea, KY), saw Model's basketball squad hold off Berea by a tally of 46-44.

With the victory, Model improves its record to 12-14 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY) to play the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 13. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 9-12. Rockcastle County won 69-65 in their recent non-league challenge against Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY)

Next up, the Pirates play the Leslie County Eagles (Hyden, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 11. Berea will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record.
