In Friday's league outing, the Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Carbondale Terriers (Carbondale, IL), by a count of 52-18.
The Orphans (22-5) will now prepare for their outing against Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL). The Wooden Shoes go into the non-league outing with a 20-7 record. In their last outing, Teutopolis smashed Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL), 55-41, in a non-league outing.
The Terriers now hold a 10-15 record. They play next when they host Mt. Vernon for a South Seven outing on Wednesday, February 15. Carbondale will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 51-43 league win over Marion (Marion, IL). The Rams record now stands at 19-8.
