Nixa Eagles (Nixa, MO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Carthage Tigers (Carthage, MO), 66-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nixa upgrades its record to 22-0 on the campaign. The Eagles host Willard (Willard, MO) to play the Tigers in a Central Ozarks bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 5-10. Willard lost 74-63 in their recent league bout against Joplin (Joplin, MO)

Next up, the Tigers play the Branson Pirates (Branson, MO) in a Central Ozarks bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Carthage will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record.
