Chariho Chargers (Wood River Junction, RI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI), 55-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Chariho upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Chargers host Hope (Providence, RI) to play the Blue Wave in a Division 2 challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Blue Wave come into the challenge with a record of 1-17. Hope lost 61-56 in their recent league challenge against South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI)

Next up, the Falcons confront the St. Andrew's Saints (Barrington, RI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 11. Cranston West will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record.
