Illinois High School Basketball - Cuba/Spoon River Valley overwhelmed by Elmwood

The Elmwood Trojans basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats to 24 in the Trojans league victory on Friday.
The Trojans now sport a 18-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Peoria Heights for a Prairieland contest on Tuesday, February 14. Elmwood will battle a Patriots team coming off a 55-42 league loss to Brimfield (Brimfield, IL). The Patriots record now stands at 10-16.
The Wildcats (5-20) will now prepare for their contest against Bushnell-Prairie City (Bushnell, IL). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 17-13 record. In their last contest, Bushnell-Prairie City was routed by Illini West (Carthage, IL), 66-39, in a non-league contest.
