The Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings (Flossmoor, IL), 60-55 in Friday's league test.
The Griffins (23-4) will now prepare for their test against Yorkville (Yorkville, IL). The Foxes go into the non-league test with a 24-5 record. In their last test, Yorkville got by Sandburg (Orland Park, IL), 63-40, in a non-league test.
The Vikings now own a 17-12 record. They play next when they travel to Lockport for a SouthWest Suburban - Blue test on Tuesday, February 14. Homewood-Flossmoor will encounter a Porters squad coming off a 55-49 league loss to Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL). The Porters record now stands at 16-12.
