Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Sturgis Brown Scoopers (Sturgis, SD) and the host Hot Springs Bison (Hot Springs, SD), saw Sturgis Brown's basketball team gain a win over Hot Springs by a score of 54-45.

The Scoopers now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Belle Fourche for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 11. Sturgis Brown will battle a Broncs team coming off a 87-53 league loss to Rapid City Christian (Rapid City, SD). The Broncs record now stands at 6-10.

The Bison (15-1) will now prepare for their battle against More (Rapid City, SD). The Cavaliers come into the A Region 8 battle with a 16-2 record. In their last battle, More prevailed over Mt. Vernon/Plankinton (Mt. Vernon, SD), 68-57, in a non-league battle.
