Howe Lions (Howe, OK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wilburton Diggers (Wilburton, OK), 61-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Howe upgrades its record to 7-14 on the season. The Lions host Vian (Vian, OK) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 11. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Vian lost 40-35 in their recent league bout against Keys (Park Hill, OK)

Next up, the Diggers play the Stigler Panthers (Stigler, OK) in a Black Diamond bout, on Monday, February 13. Wilburton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 12-9 record after their 53-34 league win over Heavener (Heavener, OK).
