The La Crosse Central Riverhawks basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Red Raiders to 50 in the Riverhawks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Riverhawks now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sparta for a Mississippi Valley contest on Tuesday, February 14. La Crosse Central will meet a Spartans team coming off a 79-68 league loss to Tomah (Tomah, WI). The Spartans record now stands at 3-15.
The Red Raiders (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Merrill (Merrill, WI). The Bluejays enter the Wisconsin Valley contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Merrill was nudged by Stevens Point (Stevens Point, WI), 69-36, in a league contest.
