McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting North Forsyth Vikings (Winston-Salem, NC), 67-59 in a league bout.

With the victory, McMichael upgrades its record to 7-15 on the campaign.

Next up, the Vikings play the West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 13. North Forsyth will attempt to upgrade on its 3-19 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 13-9 record after their 67-26 league win over North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC).
