The Ansley/Litchfield Spartans (Ansley, NE) basketball nipped the visiting Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE), 41-36 in Friday's league test.

The Spartans (8-12) will now prepare for their test against Elba (Elba, NE). The Bluejays go into the non-league test with a 4-15 record. In their last test, Elba was tipped by Franklin (Franklin, NE), 38-34, in a non-league test.
