Connecticut High School Basketball - Bridgeport Central ripped by Staples

The Staples Wreckers basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers to 33 in the Wreckers league triumph on Friday.

The Wreckers now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Warde for a Fairfield County contest on Monday, February 13. Staples will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 55-40 league loss to Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-5.

The Hilltoppers (1-16) will now prepare for their contest against Wilton (Wilton, CT). The Warriors enter the Fairfield County contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Wilton was routed by Ridgefield (Ridgefield, CT), 44-36, in a league match.
