Maryland High School Basketball - Broadneck thwarts Southern

The Broadneck Bruins (Annapolis, MD) basketball knocked off the host Southern Bulldogs (Harwood, MD), 55-45 in Friday's non-league test.
The Bruins (11-9) will now prepare for their test against Douglass (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Douglass was topped by Central (Capitol Heights, MD), 37-32, in a league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Patuxent for a non-league outing on Monday, February 13. Southern will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 57-14 league loss to Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD). The Panthers record now stands at 0-12.
