New Egypt Warriors (New Egypt, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Calvary Christian Lions (Old Bridge, NJ), 41-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Egypt upgrades its record to 14-8 on the season.

Next up, the Lions play the Veritas Christian Academy (Sparta, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 16. Calvary Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The go into the bout with a 11-12 record after their 33-26 non-league win over Emmanuel Christian Academy (Newington, CT).
