The Trinidad Miners basketball team (Trinidad, CO), was toppled 39-20 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Cotopaxi Pirates (Cotopaxi, CO)
The Pirates now possess a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sanford for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 11. Cotopaxi will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 31-25 league win over Sargent (Monte Vista, CO). The Mustangs record now stands at 12-4.
The Miners (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against Custer County (Westcliffe, CO). The Bobcats come into the 2A/1A West Central battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Custer County was toppled by Center (Center, CO), 43-39, in a league battle.
