Colorado High School Basketball - Gilpin County overwhelms Lyons

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Gilpin County Eagles (Black Hawk, CO) and the host Lyons Lions (Lyons, CO), saw Gilpin County's basketball squad wallop Lyons by a tally of 59-29.
With the victory, Gilpin County improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host North Park (Walden, CO) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. North Park won 43-32 in their recent league challenge against Vail Christian (Edwards, CO)
Next up, the Lions play the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles (Greeley, CO) in a 3A/2A/1A Mile High challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Lyons will attempt to improve on its 9-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 57-9 league win over Bishop Machebeuf (Denver, CO).
