The Lewis Mills Spartans basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Platt Panthers to 33 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plainville for a Central Connecticut - West Colonial contest on Tuesday, February 14. Lewis Mills will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 44-17 league loss to Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-16.

The Panthers (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Maloney (Meriden, CT). The Spartans enter the Central Connecticut - South Colonial contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Maloney was defeated by Middletown (Middletown, CT), 56-36, in a league contest.
