Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Lake Forest Scouts (Lake Forest, IL), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Benet Academy upgrades its record to 23-5 on the campaign. The Redwings travel to Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL) to play the Spartans in a East Suburban Catholic bout on Saturday, February 10. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 19-8. Marian Catholic won 50-43 in their recent league bout against Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL)

Next up, the Scouts play the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees (Zion, IL) in a North Suburban bout, on Wednesday, February 14. Lake Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 21-7 season record. The Zee-Bees come into the bout with a 2-20 record after their 77-40 league loss to Warren Township (Gurnee, IL).
