Bloomfield Cardinals (Bloomfield, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Bloomington South Panthers (Bloomington, IN), 49-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bloomfield upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Sullivan (Sullivan, IN) to play the Golden Arrows in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Golden Arrows come into the bout with a record of 16-3. Sullivan won 76-53 in their recent non-league bout against North Central (Farmersburg, IN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Evansville Central Bears (Evansville, IN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 16. Bloomington South will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 51-45 league loss to Evansville Memorial (Evansville, IN).
