The Captain Shreve Gators (Shreveport, LA) basketball felled the visiting Red River Bulldogs (Coushatta, LA), 70-61 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Gators (26-5) will now prepare for their test against Southwood (Shreveport, LA). The Cowboys go into the 5A District 1 test with a 23-8 record. In their last test, Southwood thwarted Airline (Bossier City, LA), 41-32, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 20-14 record. They play next when they host Loyola College Prep for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13. Red River will encounter a Flyers squad coming off a 40-30 non-league loss to Northwood (Shreveport, LA). The Flyers record now stands at 9-16.
