The Rock Island Rocks basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host East Peoria Raiders to 38 in the Rocks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Rocks now sport a 23-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quincy for a Western Big 6 contest on Tuesday, February 13. Rock Island will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 71-44 non-league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 26-3.
The Raiders (12-17) will now prepare for their contest against Pekin (Pekin, IL). The Dragons come into the Mid-Illini contest with a 16-9 record. In their last contest, Pekin triumphed over Limestone (Bartonville, IL), 57-31, in a league contest.
