Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Fairview Apaches (Sherwood, OH) and the host Hilltop Cadets (West Unity, OH), saw Fairview's basketball squad hold off Hilltop by a tally of 44-38.

With the victory, Fairview improves its record to 9-10 on the campaign. The Apaches host Ayersville (Defiance, OH) to confront the Pilots in a Green Meadows challenge on Friday, February 16. The Pilots come into the challenge with a record of 7-11.

Next up, the Cadets confront the Pettisville Blackbirds (Pettisville, OH) in a Buckeye Border challenge, on Friday, February 16. Hilltop will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Blackbirds come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 56-45 non-league win over Edgerton (Edgerton, OH).
