North Central Thunder (Eureka, SD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Herreid/Selby Wolverines (Herreid, SD), 65-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, North Central upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Thunder travel to Wakpala (Wakpala, SD) to clash with the Sioux in a non-league bout on Monday, February 12. The Sioux go into the bout with a record of 10-8. Wakpala lost 85-53 in their recent non-league bout against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (Eagle Butte, SD)

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Leola/Frederick Titans (Leola, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 16. Herreid/Selby will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 18-1 record after their 77-58 non-league win over Webster (Webster, SD).
