The Live Oak Eagles (Watson, LA) basketball knocked off the visiting Istrouma Indians (Baton Rouge, LA), 59-51 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Eagles (18-9) will now prepare for their test against Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA). The Yellowjackets go into the 5A District 5 outing with a 27-6 record. In their last outing, Denham Springs was beaten by Walker (Walker, LA), 49-44, in a league outing.
The Indians now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Brusly for a 4A District 6 outing on Tuesday, February 13.
